Why we built Authon
Authon started in early 2026 when our founder, a developer building desktop tools, grew frustrated with the lack of affordable and reliable licensing solutions. Existing platforms were either too expensive, too complex, or simply unreliable.
So we built our own. What started as an internal tool quickly evolved into a full platform after other developers asked to use it. The response was overwhelming — within weeks, hundreds of developers had signed up.
